Singapore Halal Certification
Trusted, Reliable, Widely Accepted
The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) is the sole custodian of Halal certification in Singapore. Established in 1978, MUIS Halal Certification is voluntary. Under AMLA, MUIS is vested with the sole legal powers to issue Halal certificates in Singapore. MUIS has more than 30 year experience administering Halal certification in Singapore.
MUIS issues Halal certificates based on a set of systems-focused Halal certification requirements known as the Singapore MUIS Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ). HalMQ is benchmarked against internationally-known standards such as ISO and HACCP. To date, MUIS offers 7 Halal certification schemes that span across the food supply chain.
